The Government has released 8,728,056,000 shillings for payment to beneficiaries enrolled in the cash transfer programmes. 

The money, channelled through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, will be paid out to 1,090,587 cash transfer beneficiaries starting Monday, February 22, 2020.

A total of 293,688 beneficiaries enrolled in the Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Programme will receive 2.3 billion in the September-December 2020 payment cycle. 

At the same time, a total of 762,947 beneficiaries enlisted under the Older Persons Cash Transfer Programme will be paid Ksh.6.1 billion with 33,952 beneficiaries of the Persons with Severe Disability Cash Programme set to receive 271.6 million shillings.

Each of the beneficiaries will receive 8,000 shillings to cover the September-December 2020 payment cycle. 

Beneficiaries or caregivers can access the payment at any time over the next six (6) months.
